15 Seasons and counting

So for those of you who don't know, I have worked in haunted houses since I was 9 years old. My mom and dad worked at The Grand Theatre at SLCC. It's so much fun. I can't imagine a fall without working at a haunted house with my family.

When I was 12 my parents stopped working at The
Grand. My mom went to work, I think, at my cousins family print shop and my dad accepted a full time position at Institute of Terror (now Nightmare on 13th) hUnted house.

This year Nightmare on 13th celebrates their 20th season. My dad has worked for them for 11 seasons and this is my 10th season. I have seen the way the owners run the haunted house (like a business) and taking my dads knowledge of working in haunted house and build an amazing place. I can honestly say I believe Nightmare on 13th to be the best haunted house in the nation.

It's such a unique experience to work at a haunted house. Here are Some of the roles I have been:
-being in a pumpkin
-being dropped into a well by Frankenstein
-opening and closing a door
-getting my head cut off by Sweeny Todd
-getting my head cut off by a guillatine
-being "burned"/"blown up" in a box
-clown
-vampire
-crazy person
-miscellaneous dead person
-water girl
-line regular
- cashier
-and probably more I can't think of right now

By the way, check out the travel channel the last week in October for a series called "America Haunts." nigtmare on 13th will be featured!!!!!!
